A Cappella Music Theatre: A creative workshop

Drawing closely on the development process of ‘Under One Roof’, this intensive, challenging and fun workshop led by Filament’s Co-Artistic Directors Sabina Netherclift and Osnat Schmool, offers students a unique and practical approach to the techniques the company uses in devising their work.

Through a variety of vocal and physical exercises including rhythm, tempo, timing, chorus work and musical, verbal and non-verbal improvisation, participants will be introduced to Filament’s approach to creating original a capella music theatre. Filament aim to develop an awareness of the interplay between devising physically and musicianship, encouraging the students to apply this to their own practice.
